Gillingham NPT Weekly Update

Gillingham NPT Weekly Update

#GILLINGHAMNPT

The team have been out on some training this week, brushing up on some skills as well as learning about new tools and tactics we can use to identify stolen vehicles, plant machinery and items. We have relieved training on how to use data tags, so if machinery is taken from sites, we can establish the owners. 🔍

Using our new skills and with the help of community intelligence, we have managed to recover a stolen moped today.

We have also attended a multiagency meeting hosted by Dorset Council, talking and discussing important themes with other community stakeholders. It's always important to have these discussions and to share our views and perspectives from a Policing point of view, whilst taking into account views held by others. 👮‍♀️

We have also:

Continued to input intelligence about ongoing issues in the area

🚓 Carried out both foot and mobile patrol in Gillingham and our rural areas.

Assisted our response colleagues with incidents in Gillingham and beyond

🤝 Attended neighbour disputes and helped to resolve issues

Carried out welfare checks on vulnerable individuals

🏚️ Continued our patrols in abandoned building, ensuring that the land owners are securing the properties

Don’t forget that PCSO Vicky will be at Waitrose next week for the monthly Community Contact Point, on Thursday the 22nd at 10:30.
